Transcripts and Grades

After the end of the academic year (late June/early July) the International Programmes Office produces your official academic transcript which is sent to:

Exchange students:

Transcript sent directly to home university

Study Abroad students (fee payers):

Transcript is sent directly to your home address if you have applied independently. If your application was submitted through a 3rd party provider (e.g. Arcadia, SAF) or through your home university’s International Programmes Office, your transcript will be posted to them

Official grades are not released by Schools until early July, and transcripts are therefore issued from late July onwards.

Students studying with us for semester 1 only will receive an ‘Interim’ transcript in March/April, and will then receive a second ‘Official’ transcript in July/August. Students with us for semester 2 only will receive an ‘Official’ transcript only in July/August. Students studying with us for an academic year (September-June) will receive ONE transcript only – an ‘Official’ transcript in July/August. Students studying with us for a calendar year (January to January) will receive an ‘Interim’ transcript in March/April (after their departure), and then an ‘Official’ transcript in the July/August after their departure showing the ratified grades from both their semesters.

Please note that no transcript will be released to you if there are any outstanding debts on your account.

It is your own university’s responsibility to work out how your marks at Manchester will transfer to your study at home. We will provide Grading and Credit Guidance with your transcript.

We will issue you with one transcript. If you need any additional transcripts after you have returned home, these should be ordered via The University of Manchester’s E-store:
