The Global Ambassador Programme

The Global Ambassador Programme is a voluntary programme involving study abroad students who have been allocated a place to study at one of Manchester's partner universities worldwide. They will support the Placements and International programmes Office in promoting the University of Manchester while abroad. We also ask Global Ambassadors to get involved in active promotion of international mobility programmes to fellow Manchester students on return to Manchester.

*Please note that the Global Ambassador programme is only open to students who have been accepted to study abroad through the Placements and International Programmes Office, for a semester or full year, next academic year. This only includes students under the International Exchange Programme and Language Residence Abroad (study abroad only).

Being a Global Ambassador involves writing for our Manchester on the Road study abroad blog, posting on social media, produce promotional videos and organising promotional events.

The programme has three main objectives:

• To enhance your personal development, build/expand your portfolio of work and increase your competitiveness in the employment market.
• To promote The University of Manchester to students at our Partner universities in order to increase participation and awareness.
• To contribute to the promotion of international opportunities to Manchester students in order to increase awareness and participation.

Once you have completed the required components, your achievement will be registered in your Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR) which forms part of your academic transcript issued on Graduation.
