The Confucius Institute (CI) at The University of Manchester is offering several scholarships to help Manchester students to become the future leaders of the UK-China collaboration in business, trade, education, and culture. They run a number of schemes that provide financial support to help students acquire the skills they need to progress in their study of China.

Global Graduates is an exclusive programme for students at The University of Manchester giving you the opportunity to spend one week meeting with alumni in one of our host cities across the world.
Thanks to the generous funding of alumni donors, in partnership with the University, we’ve been able to send groups of undergraduate students to eight cities across the globe since the programme launched in 2012.

The following programme is external to the University of Manchester's Summer Schools scheme and may incur tuition fees. Students can apply to this programme independently and are not eligible for any internal scholarships related to the Summer Schools scheme through the University of Manchester, however external funding may be available.
Through Generation UK, the British Council has opened up a range of opportunities in China, giving students the chance to experience this unique country while gaining valuable skills for the future.
