The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship scheme is a UK-Canada mobility programme for undergraduates to develop their research expertise. The competitive programme co-funds undergraduates from partner countries to complete an intensive 12-week summer research internship, in a variety of academic disciplines, under the supervision of a professor at one of 70 participating Canadian universities.

The University of Tokyo Research Internship Program (UTRIP) is specifically designed for natural sciences students who are looking at continuing their studies to postrgaduate level. The programme welcomes international students studying natural sciences to receive intensive instruction and guidance on conducting research from renowned faculty members.
UTRIP students are given an allowance of 160,000JPY (£825) as well as free accommodation. It is open to students studying physics, astronomy, chemistry, earth & planetary science, and biological sciences.

The University of Tokyo also offers the Summer Research Program in Kashiwa (USTIP Kashiwa). This is open to undergraduate students in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Information Technology, International Studies, Materials Sciences, Advanced Energy, Ocean Science, Physics and Sustainability Science Studies. There is a scholarship worth 130,000JPY (around £650) and free accommodation is provided for all students who are selected for the programme.

SURP is an 8-week research programme at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. There are options to conduct research, supervised by a CUHK faculty member, in Arts, Education, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Science and Social Science.

UBC Go Global's Visiting International Research Students welcomes students from abroad to conduct full-time research under the supervision of a UBC faculty member. Students who intend to come to UBC for research purposes for one to 12 months under the supervision of a UBC faculty member are welcome to apply through the VIRS pathway.
