Become a Global Guidance Ambassador

Our Global Guidance Ambassadors (GGAs) are students that have studied abroad. They work with the Placements and International Programmes (PIP) team to help promote and support international opportunities and provide a valuable student perspective. As a GGA you will respond to enquiries, support Manchester students who are interested in studying abroad, support inbound students on exchange at Manchester, help organise events, assist with predeparture sessions, deliver promotional tasks and generally support the PIP team with daily tasks. 

The role will be mostly campus based with some remote working, as required. The role is for the full academic year, working regular shifts for 8 hours per week during term time (excluding examination periods). This is a paid position at National Living Wage rates and full training will be provided.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for a Global Guidance Ambassador you must have completed a semester or year abroad as part of your studies at The University of Manchester. You must also be a current undergraduate student.

Note: Medicine students, summer school students and postgraduate students are NOT eligible to apply.

 

Applications for the 23/24 academic year will open on 1st June 2023.
